Short Pitch

You’ve seen the magazine ads, commercials, and fashion shows; now see the real work that international models put into creating those images. Our model - a new one every year - takes the viewer off the tour bus. Maybe she will talk walk the streets of Milan or visit the Museums in Beijing or brave the jungles in Jakarta or test the runway in Paris; but wherever she goes, she is not afraid to mix, mingle, and show the real side of the countries she visits, the people she meets, and the controlled panic that is media production. And just for spice, the series will tag along on the occasional photo shoot, fashion show, or television commercial exposing the more exotic and the decidedly regal side of the world’s most exciting destinations.

 

The Hook

We will follow an established international model and television spokesperson, someone who has appeared on billboards, on the sides of busses, in magazines, and on television around the world. Someone young and fresh but with enough experience to handle the experiences of traveling alone in a foreign country while on assignment - and being followed day and night by a camera crew. Our program will focus on people, the environment, and the world around us - and the life of a busy model.

 

Models live a life that most girls would envy, but their experiences show that if you knock off the glamour and open up to the people, then the reality of working and traveling becomes fascinating in a most captivating way.

 

One might compare this with Mark Twain's The Prince and the Pauper. Models are often treated like royalty. But when royalty moves among the people as one of them, as someone interested in their life, the world opens like a flower brought from darkness into sunlight.
